INGREDIENTS:

  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar or natural sweetener
  • nuts, chocolate chips, or dried fruit
  • 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT:

  • mixing bowls
  • fork or potato masher for mashing bananas
  • measuring cups and spoons
  • loaf pan
  • parchment paper or cooking spray for greasing the pan
  • oven

STEP 1

Preheat the oven to 180°C.
In one bowl, mash the ripe bananas using a fork or a potato masher.
In another bowl, mix together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

STEP 2

Add vegetable oil to the mashed bananas and mix well.
If using sugar, add it now and mix until combined.


STEP 3

Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until everything is combined.
If adding any extras like nuts or chocolate chips, add them now and mix.


STEP 4

Pour the prepared batter into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Once the bread is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
