Hi, I'm Mav, a digital and traditional artist inspired by the places I've been, the experiences I've lived through, and the emotions connected to them. My work is a way of translating personal moments into visual forms combining atmosphere, storytelling, and experimentation across different mediums. The name “Maverick,” inspired by the pilot from Top Gun, represents individuality, freedom, independence, and the courage to follow one's own path without conforming to expectations. The word itself describes someone who thinks and acts differently from the crowd, which reflects both my artistic approach and personal perspective. Through my art, I aim to capture fragments of experience, emotion, and imagination in a way that feels honest, expressive, and deeply personal.

DIGITAL

royal castle series

The original series was intended to depict towers in Poland. The final version is a gradual simplification of a single frame showing a castle. Technically, the images are meant to resemble watercolor paintings. Visible layered applications and vivid colors should be present.

bell tower, Krosno

The originator of the concept for an earlier series focused on Polish towers and bell towers. The sketch and watercolor underpainting were created traditionally on paper, while the final composition was completed digitally, combining hand-painted textures with contemporary digital techniques.

illustrations

These works draw inspiration from traditional Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock prints, combining delicate composition with expressive linework and layered color. Although created digitally, the illustration resembles watercolor painting, with soft textures and translucent brush-like effects that evoke a hand-painted sketch on paper.

dummys and humans

The series presents mannequins, fragmented figures, and body parts in a loose, sketch-like form, blending painterly textures with a comic-inspired aesthetic. The digital drawings combine expressive lines, watercolor-like shading, and a hand-drawn atmosphere that gives the works a dynamic and illustrative character.

Original Character

Chiaki comes from the Japanese name Chiaki (千秋), meaning “a thousand autumns,” symbolizing longevity and timelessness. Inspired by traditional Japanese samurai and shinobi aesthetics, he wears red, black, and white robes with fire motifs and fights using a katana. He is a human connected to a cult-like order, acting as a monk-like swordsman who no longer ages.

Illu has no direct meaning tied to her name, focusing more on her visual identity. She looks like a pastel-colored fairy or elf inspired by bubblegum aesthetics, using magic and illusions in combat. Despite her cute appearance, her personality is manipulative, chaotic, and closer to a demon.

Minju comes from the Korean name Minju (민주), often associated with intelligence or cleverness. He is a Korean human sniper with a pastel aesthetic and feminine fashion style, contrasting with his unstable and violent personality. His severe mental instability and obsession with firearms hides his intelligence.

Moxe is inspired by 70s and 80s fashion, especially retro fitness culture. She is fully human and carries an energetic, confident personality heavily influenced by old-school aerobics and disco aesthetics.

Ukiyo references the Japanese concept of the “floating world,” fitting her existence across multiple timelines and realities. As the leader of the group, she uses dual daggers and combines black techwear with subtle hanbok-inspired clothing details. Though human, she has lived many lives and travels through time and space as an assassin-like figure.

Zantan is a humanoid robot inspired by inventors and gentlemen from the 1940s-50s. His name has a sharp, mechanical sound matching his role as a pyrotechnician and creator of explosives. He behaves politely and elegantly, treating destruction almost like scientific art.
