What was once a whispered secret in the city’s underground is now a landmark on the global music calendar. With over 15 stages, immersive art installations, and a lineup featuring the titans of Pop, Electronic, and Hip-Hop, Sonder has become a homecoming for the restless and the rhythmic. We’ve grown in scale, but our mission remains unchanged: to turn a stadium of strangers into a single, pulsing heartbeat.
Sonder began in 2018 as a DIY collective in the warehouses of Friedrichshain, born from a simple realization: every person in the crowd has a story as deep as your own. What started as a local gathering of 500 dreamers has evolved into Berlin’s premier mainstream music event. Over the years, we’ve moved from hidden courtyards to the city’s grandest stages, hosting global icons while never losing that original "Sonder" spark. We don't just look back at where we’ve been; we celebrate the millions of individual journeys that have met on our dancefloors along the way.

We are thrilled to announce the first wave of artists joining us this summer in Berlin. From global chart-toppers to the underground heroes of the Berlin scene, Phase 1 is a celebration of diversity and sound. Headlining the Main Stage this year are Dua Lipa and Eminem.
